🔧 Pressure Transmitter Calculation Made Easy! 🔧

Do you know how to calculate the output current of a pressure transmitter from a process pressure value?

📌 Example:

✅ Range: 0–2000 psi

✅ Output: 4–20 mA

✅ Measured Pressure: 300 psi

👉 Pressure % = (300 / 2000) × 100 = 15%

👉 Output Current = 4 + (15% × 16) = 6.4 mA

Understanding these calculations is essential for:

✔ Instrument Calibration

✔ PLC/DCS Troubleshooting

✔ Loop Checking

✔ Commissioning Activities

✔ Instrumentation Interviews
